Pokemon Gen 6: More refined mechanics, grindan and breeding is easier than ever (If you want a competitive team). But the atmosphere is good, and the demon fusing is still in, you can also choose what skills to transfer over.
Shin Megami Tensei IV: It is not as good as Nocturne or Shin Megami Tensei 2. If you never had a DS, I would also say to try out some of the bests on there too. It looks pretty good, better than any of the other recent ones.Īs for the non-RPG's: You got the nice remakes of Orcarina of Time, Starfox 64, The Link Between Worlds (assuming you care for 1st party nintendo titles). Pokemon X/Y seems to gain a lot of favor. It looks pretty fun from what I've seen, at least. I'm not too well founded on this series, so maybe somebody else will help you with that. There is also the Devil Survivor remake and the Devil Summoner port. I don't exactly know, but it's worth a look. There's Shin Megami Tensei IV - which I've heard was a bit lackluster to some but great to others. Then there's the Shin Megami Tensei games. The demo starts you off a bit later from the beginning so you may get insta-killed a bit. Play the demo to gain some townsfolk (using a glitch). It's a lot like Four Heroes of Light as well. Ignore that (and the stupid microtransaction for pretty much a useless item) and you get a decent FF V-like.
So if you're a co-op fag who likes boss fights, there you go.īravely Default is a good mention, very solid JRPG gameplay that gets bogged down by some dumb features like streetpass and summons being your friend's character or that you need to invite people to fix your town in an oddly mobile-like town sim. It's alright alone, but to be honest the real meat is in the multiplayer. I've played a bit of Monster Hunter on my PSP, and tried out the 3DS one. I don't know if it's good enough for those who played the original to buy/play it again, but I enjoy it well enough. It's pretty good, and pretty much up to par with Etrian 4.
